The American Saddlebred, formerly known as the American Saddle Horse, is a breed of horse that was developed in Kentucky by plantation owners. Today, they are most commonly seen in Saddle seat style riding in the horse show ring, although they are also used in other disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, and even western riding. They also are popular parade mounts. There are many famous American Saddlebreds in United States History. The most famous Saddlebred known to many history lovers is Traveler, Robert E. Lee's trusted mount. He used Traveler for the majority of the Civil War. (Wiki & Softlies)

I would love to join the American Saddlebred Group!

*If it's not a Saddlebred....It's just not a horse!*

'Tis not where we lie, but whence we fell; The loss of heaven's the greatest pain in hell.
Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast, To soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.
Saddlbreds rock my socks! xD

I'm not feeling quite so homicidal this week!
Oh and due to being the first member and a true lover of Saddlebreds, would you mind if I used a photo of your horse Duke as the club ID?
